Stored in this browser's localStorage and applied by the loader on every page view. Changes take effect on the next page load. URL params (?subdomain=, ?componentsBase=) win over these for a single view. Note: on /csp/* pages, a custom base outside the CSP allowlist is blocked by design.

Manual check: save an override → open any showcase page → the banner shows "Overrides active" and the embed loads from the overridden base (network tab). Reset → banner chip disappears.
